Summary of the Request

The Request describes potential social impacts and the living conditions of the community where the Requesters reside caused by removing of a pedestrian bridge that was originally to be built near the entrance to the community.

The Request also claims that moving the bridge farther away would leave residents without a safe pedestrian crossing.

Recent actions

On June 20th, 2023, the Request was not registered to allow the Requester to establish an initial contact with the Project Team (Management) through the following protocol: https://www.iadb.org/en/projects/grievances-portal. The Requester was notified of the possibility of resubmitting the Request to the MICI if their concerns have not been addressed within a reasonable period.

The Parties were notified and the MICI process was concluded. It is important to note that the Notification of Non-Registration is not an assessment of the merits of the Request, or the issues presented in it. Nor is it a determination of compliance or non-compliance by the IDB of its Relevant Operational Policies.
