Summary of the Request

The Request describes a potential harm to the living conditions of the Requester caused by the eviction from his property for the construction of the Project.

The Request alleges that the measurements made by the executing agency are incorrect, in addition, the terms of the eviction do not take into account the loss of profit since part of the property is leased to telephone companies for the placement of antennas.

Likewise, the Requester establishes that the domestic use of the property was not considered since the Requester and his family live there and, if the eviction was carried out, they would be left homeless.

Recent actions

On December 5th, 2022, the Request was not registered to allow the Requester to establish an initial contact with the Project Team (Management) through the following protocol: https://www.iadb.org/en/projects/grievances-portal. The Requester was notified of the possibility of resubmitting the Request to the MICI if their concerns have not been addressed within a reasonable period. The Parties were notified and the MICI process was concluded. 

It is important to note that the Notification of Non-Registration is not an assessment of the merits of the Request, or the issues presented in it. Nor is it a determination of compliance or non-compliance by the IDB of its Relevant Operational Policies.
