MICI-BID-CH-2018-0129

Energy Sustainable Program

Country: Chile

Reception date: January, 8 2018

Current Status: Closed

Requesters:

A resident of São Paulo, Brasil.

Summary of the Request

The Requester claims that the Project implemented activities outside the technical scope of work established in the original loan contract. Also, the Requester notes that he has not been able to access information about the budget breakdown of the use of resources and therefore there is a lack of budgetary information about the Project.

Consequently, the Requester asks that MICI provide all the budgetary information about the Project that is classified as public.

Recent actions

On January 10, 2018, the MICI notified the Requester that his Request was not registered as one of the exclusions set out in the MICI Policy applied, specifically paragraph 19 (b), which states that neither the Consultation Phase nor the Compliance Review Phase will be applied to Requests that are without substance. MICI considers that the allegations of harm presented in the Request cannot be linked to the "Energy Sustainable Program" (CH-L1136) and are therefore unfounded.

Finally, the Requester was notified that MICI is not the competent body for processing Bank information requests, so MICI suggested that he send his request for information to the corresponding instance.
